Job summary

Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) in Guelph is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join the Application Systems team. This role involves designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing software enhancements or new modules for our enterprise applications.

The successful candidate will develop detailed program designs, write and test code, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• University or college graduate in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive Programmer/Analyst experience.
• Strong PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP) experience with willingness to learn other languages.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements of software modifications and determine the most effective solution.
• Write software programs or modules to support various online applications.
• Write queries and develop reports to support various business functions.
• Participate in software testing and implementation.
• Participate in solving issues reported by internal and external customers.
• Develop quality code quickly and consistently to meet deadlines.
• Work effectively with other teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
