Job summary

University Health Network in Toronto is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Site Operations Leader to oversee inpatient pharmacy operations across assigned sites. You will lead operations, supervise staff, drive quality improvement, and implement projects, while upholding UHN values of caring, excellence, teamwork and integrity.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, ensure safety and efficiency of medication distribution, and manage workload amid changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Certificate of competency from the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada required.
• Active registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacist, Part A required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Hospital pharmacy practice knowledge and current operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hospital Pharmacy Operations Manager in all aspects of pharmacy operations across assigned sites.
• Lead and oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow optimization, and operational planning.
• Provide direct supervision of staff, including HR management, performance support, training and development.
• Serve as Non-Sterile Compounding Supervisor with annual training and certification.
• Lead implementation of operational, automation, and systems-related pharmacy projects.
• Maintain policies, procedures and regulatory compliance, including automation and compounding practices.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives to optimize safety and efficiency of medication distribution.
• Collaborate with leadership, clinical teams, nursing and other departments.
