TD Canada Trust is seeking a Senior Personal Banker–Home Borrowing in Longueuil to deliver expert advice on real estate lending and banking solutions. You will help customers plan financing, assess needs, and promote TD products while ensuring a superior branch experience.

You will maintain in-depth knowledge of TD’s Real Estate Secured Lending, handle inquiries, and refer complex cases to specialists as needed. A strong customer focus and collaboration with teammates are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
  • IFC accreditation or CFSA within 90 days of start date.
  • CFSA within 6 months of start date.
  • Internal TD candidates: IFC accreditation or equivalent prior to start date.
  • External candidates: IFC accreditation or equivalent within 90 days of start date.
  • CFSA within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

  • Create a consistent and exceptional customer experience in the branch with a focus on home borrowing advice.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Real Estate Secured Lending products and TDCT offerings.
  • Ask questions to uncover needs and connect customers with appropriate solutions.

Senior Personal Banker – Home Borrowing

In this role, you will
  • Create a consistent and exceptional customer experience in the branch, with specialty and predominant focus in home borrowing advice and experiences
  • Requires deep knowledge and expertise of the Real Estate Secured Lending products; with in-depth knowledge of investing, day-to-day banking, and all other TDCT products and services
  • Ask thoughtful questions to uncover and understand Customer needs, owning solutions that align to mandate and bringing in an expert for needs outside of capability
  • Improve customer financial confidence through ongoing dialogue and by answering questions and providing advice
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the branch for both customers and colleagues regarding all products, services, policies, and procedures of TD – especially regarding both personal banking and business banking products/services or policies/procedures owned within the Branch
  • Maintain a professional and inviting space in all common areas of the branch, adhering to premises, marketing, and/or regulatory guidelines, paying attention to the office spaces in which the Senior Personal Banker – Home Borrowing occupies
  • Consistently engage in proactive customer outreach (via phone, email, etc.) to discuss portfolio updates and/or additional opportunities which best service the customer's needs; responsible for being present in the community for additional customer outreach
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends to support advice recommendations
  • Ensure documentation that is prepared and completed is accurate, properly reflects the customer/business' intentions, and retained in accordance with business policies and procedures
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
  • Contribute to the achievement of business objectives by proactively attracting, acquiring and retaining customers / advice opportunities and referrals, to drive growth for TD; this role is particularly responsible for achieving market share growth by bringing new business to TD
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma and/or Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree (in a related field) preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) accreditation or equivalent within 90 days of start date
  • Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA) within 6 months of start date
  • Applicable to internal TD candidates: Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) accreditation or equivalent prior to start date
  • Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA) prior to start date
  • Applicable to external candidates: Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) accreditation or equivalent within 90 days of start date
  • Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA) within 6 months of start date
