Job description
Senior Peer Counseling Training Course and Volunteer Program

Starting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, 4 pm – 8 pm on Zoom for 12 weekly sessions (6 consecutive weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the 12th session in person on Thursday, March 11, 2026). Sessions are 1‑hour long each week.

  • Target volunteers: 55 years and over
  • Purpose: help support seniors’ quality of life, addressing grief & loss, disconnect from loved ones, age‑related health challenges, need to connect to community, social isolation, and cognitive impairment.

Training content:

  • Communication skills
  • Boundary setting
  • Aging health challenges
  • Self‑awareness and responsibility
  • Additional topics as covered during training

Upon completion you will receive a certificate in Senior Peer Support Training.
