Job summary

AGAT Laboratories is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Calgary corporate office on a full-time permanent basis. You will support the payroll team with data entry, reporting, filing, and general administrative duties.

The role requires several years of payroll experience, knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, and proficiency with Excel. PCP designation preferred, and experience with ADP is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Several years of progressive payroll experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll practices and legislation.
  • Excellent English communication; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing and employee changes.
  • Review payroll entries, reconciliations, reports, and year-end documentation.
  • Respond to and resolve employee and management payroll inquiries.
  • Provide guidance and support to payroll team members.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Identify and implement payroll process improvements.

AGAT is hiring a SeniorPayroll Administrator, for a full-time permanent position working out of our Calgary corporate office, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the payroll team with data entry, reporting, filing, and administrative duties.


What you will be doing:


  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing and employee changes.

  • Review payroll entries, reconciliations, reports, and year-end documentation.

  • Respond to and resolve employee and management payroll inquiries.

  • Provide guidance and support to payroll team members.

  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and internal controls.

  • Identify and implement payroll process improvements.


What you bring to the table:


  • PCP designation completed or in progress strongly preferred.

  • Several years of progressive payroll experience.

  • Experience with ADP products is an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll practices and legislation.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent English communication skills; French is a considerable asset.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
