Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to support and enhance enterprise database platforms and Oracle APEX environments. The role focuses on design, administration, performance optimization, and lifecycle management across development, QA, and production.

The candidate will collaborate with DBA, middleware, and application teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance in diverse environments and initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle APEX and ORDS administration.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle 19c+ database architecture.
• PL/SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Backup/recovery strategies (RMAN).
• Database upgrades and migrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases (19c and newer) across multiple environments.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle APEX and ORDS environments.
• Support WebLogic or application server configurations for APEX/ORDS.
• Coordinate database and application upgrades with cross-functional teams.
• Provide Tier 3 support for database and APEX incidents.
• Develop automation scripts for deployments, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for database and APEX deployments.
