Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Purpose:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior or Lead Project Planner / Scheduler to be the primary authority on project timelines and sequence for our major capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing the integrated master schedule, ensuring all project activities are logically planned and executed to meet critical deadlines. This role requires exceptional expertise in scheduling software and critical path analysis.

Schedule Development and Management
  • Develop, establish, and maintain highly detailed, resource-loaded master schedules (Level 3-5) using Primavera P6 throughout all project phases (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning).
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to gather accurate input and develop logical sequencing, resource requirements, and activity durations.
  • Ensure all schedules are aligned with the established Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and contractual milestones.
  • Maintain the schedule baseline, manage revision control, and ensure only formally approved changes are incorporated.
Schedule Analysis and Optimization
  • Perform rigorous Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to identify potential bottlenecks, schedule risks, and critical path activities that threaten the project completion date.
  • Conduct detailed "What-if" scenario analysis and schedule sensitivity assessments to evaluate different mitigation strategies and optimize resource utilization.
  • Manage and analyze schedule float to identify opportunities for early completion or to prioritize constrained resources.
  • Lead schedule integration efforts, ensuring alignment between contractor, vendor, and in-house schedules to produce a single integrated master schedule.
Progress Measurement and Reporting
  • Establish and implement the progress measurement methodology for all project disciplines, ensuring accurate weekly/monthly physical progress reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive schedule performance reports, including look-ahead schedules, milestone achievement tracking, and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) calculations.
  • Communicate schedule status, delays, and necessary corrective actions clearly and concisely to the Project Manager and executive stakeholders.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in all schedule-related claims analysis and forensic scheduling, providing support to the Project Controls team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Required: Senior-level, progressive experience dedicated to project planning and scheduling on large, complex capital projects (preferably EPC/EPCM).
  • Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory, including resource loading, critical path analysis, and baseline management.
  • Direct experience in the Mining, Minerals, or Metals sector is a significant asset.
Proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain the WBS and schedule coding structures.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and logical process flow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
Desired Assets:
  • Professional certification such as PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) from AACEI, or PMP (Project Management Professional) with a strong scheduling focus.
  • Experience with advanced scheduling techniques like 4D planning (integrating schedule with 3D model).
  • Proficiency with supplemental project controls software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Safran, EcoSys).
  • Previous experience in a Lead or supervisory role, mentoring junior schedulers.
