Qualifications

About You:

  • You have 1-3 years’ experience in Financial Services with an exposure to derivative instruments.
  • Knowledge of Hedge or Mutual Funds
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience/exposure to a cash settlements role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other quantitative subjects
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Committed team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail focused with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to learn new systems and source information from numerous systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Adaptive, flexible professional style, capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word and aptitude to learn new skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment

Responsibilities

Your Role:

  • Process daily OTC Derivative payments via internal payment system.
  • Call relevant counterparties for receipts, and processing via internal payment system
  • Liaise with various counterparties to verify payment details
  • Perform daily reconciliations to ensure settlement of transactions is in line with the street
  • Prepare end of day transaction reports to circulate to clients and internal departments
  • Set-up and maintain Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI’s) in internal systems
  • Interact effectively with treasury team members and supporting team(s)/department(s)
  • Collaborate with customers, technology and operations staff to proactively contribute to improved service through operational or financial analysis
  • Work with multiple departments across the firm to drive results and deliverables
  • Produce timely and accurate financials or reports
  • May serve as interface between MIS and Operations
  • May work on special projects as needed
  • Work with clients in a professional manner to resolve any open issues
  • Support Account managers in rolling out new operational processes
