Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist – Oncology for a home-based role in Canada. You will lead oncology trials, contribute to study design, medical monitoring, and data interpretation to ensure scientific rigor throughout development.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, medical writers, investigators, and external stakeholders, supporting regulatory documentation and publications. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline with 7+ years clinical research experience.
• Master's degree or PhD with 5+ years clinical research experience.
• Candidates without Life Sciences degree must have significant clinical development experience, typically >11 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support oncology clinical studies, ensuring scientific integrity and proper execution of protocols.
• Serve as primary clinical/scientific contact for internal/external stakeholders.
• Contribute to clinical trial design and endpoint development with leadership.
• Lead medical monitoring activities and review SAE reports for safety assessments.
• Establish and support Safety/Data Monitoring/Adjudication committees and oversight groups.
• Collaborate with medical writers on protocol development and governance reviews.
• Review informed consent documents and contribute to data management deliverables.
• Monitor clinical data issues and identify safety concerns.
• Prepare scientific presentations, participate in investigator meetings, and communicate protocol requirements.
• Act as scientific lead within the Clinical Trial Team to meet milestones.
• Coordinate study specifications, randomization and allocation, and approval schedules.
• Coordinate lab requirements and specimen handling to align with protocols.
• Support CSRs, regulatory submissions, and other development deliverables.
