Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Health and Safety experience in a heavy industry environment.
  • Committed to achieving Canadian Registered Safety Professional certification.
  • Projects or Turnaround experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader and sponsor safety rules.
  • Establish maintenance of a Safe and Healthy working environment.
  • Regularly inspect work areas and report practices.
  • Monitor Health and Safety compliance with legislation.
  • Provide planning support for maintenance turnarounds.
  • Assist incident investigations and identify corrective actions.
  • Develop safety training programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement for Health & Safety processes.
