Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Senior Network Security Specialist to design and advance secure, resilient, and scalable network infrastructure across enterprise, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises environments. You will lead security architecture reviews, implement Zero Trust principles, and optimize firewall capabilities with Palo Alto, Zscaler, and other modern tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in network engineering, including security design or enterprise infrastructure strategy.
• Experience designing secure enterprise networks across hybrid-cloud and on-premises environments.
• Hands-on with enterprise firewall technologies, including policy design, configuration, and optimization.
• Experience applying Zero Trust, segmentation, or secure network design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design secure network architectures for hybrid-cloud and on-premises environments using Zero Trust and segmentation.
• Lead network security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and design validation.
• Architect and optimize firewall and perimeter security capabilities (Palo Alto, Zscaler, etc.).
• Design secure workforce and device access solutions using Zero Trust concepts and VPN/NAC controls.
• Strengthen threat detection through network analytics, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring.
• Partner with Security, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations teams on resilience and continuity.
• Provide technical leadership during incidents and implement corrective actions and automation.
