Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and own enterprise applications across multiple product streams. You will drive API and microservice development, collaborate with Product Owners, and mentor junior developers in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong .NET expertise, database design skills, and hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, with a focus on delivering scalable, observable systems and robust CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with ownership of solutions.
• Proficiency with .NET Core/.NET Framework, EF/Dapper, Web APIs, and Microservices.
• Experience building database-driven apps with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Front-end development experience with Angular or React.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern deployment practices.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and contribute to design, not just implement features.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance enterprise software across multiple product streams.
• Own features from requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Design and develop APIs, microservices, and database-driven apps.
• Debug complex issues across distributed systems and improve observability.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve code quality, performance, tooling, and processes.
• Break down work, provide estimates, and communicate risks or blockers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.
• Document solutions and technical decisions for knowledge sharing.
