Job summary

WSP Canada is seeking a Senior NDT Technologist to support corrosion, coatings, metallurgy and welding inspection across critical infrastructure in British Columbia. You will bridge engineering, inspection and testing, coordinating field and shop work while delivering clear technical documentation.

With 5+ years in NDT-related roles, you will travel to industrial sites, adhere to standards (CSA/ASTM/AMPP), and collaborate with engineers and contractors to enhance asset integrity and durability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corrosion, coatings, metallurgy, or NDT roles.
• Field inspections in industrial, municipal, transportation, energy, or construction settings.
• Certifications in coating inspection or welding inspection preferred or in progress.
• Strong technical writing and clear reporting of findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate field, shop, and construction inspections, testing activities, and condition assessments on critical infrastructure assets.
• Support corrosion, metallurgy, protective coating, welding, and NDT projects to improve asset performance.
• Translate field observations, inspection findings, and testing results into clear technical documentation and recommendations.
• Contribute to asset integrity, rehabilitation, and infrastructure durability projects supporting safer communities.
• Review and organize inspection records, laboratory results, technical documentation, and quality records.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, laboratories, and project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Support construction-phase services through site observations, deficiency tracking and project closeout activities.
• Expand expertise across materials engineering, corrosion assessment, coatings, welding inspection, and advanced testing technologies.
