Job summary

Gold Fields Windfall is seeking a Senior Mid-Term Planning Engineer based in Montréal to develop and optimize 1- to 3-year mining plans for a major project in Québec. You will bridge long-, medium-, and short-term planning while coordinating with production, geology and engineering teams.

Based in the Montreal office, you will work a 5/2 schedule with occasional mine-site visits during the project phase, and transition to a 7-7 or 14-14 rotation after completion.

Qualifications

• University degree in mining or geological engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• 10+ years of relevant mining industry experience.
• Fluent in French; good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1- to 3-year rolling forecasts, mining plans, schedules and production forecasts to support execution and objectives.
• Integrate short-, medium-, and long-term planning to remove inconsistencies.
• Coordinate infrastructure requirements within the medium-term plan and ensure alignment with other horizons.
• Collaborate with production, geology and engineering teams to ensure adherence to the mining plan.
• Conduct scenario analyses to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Contribute to monthly reports, variance analysis and budgeting activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior planning engineers; support site-wide initiatives.
