Job summary

Allnorth Consultants Limited seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Saskatoon or Regina office. You will lead mechanical system design for industrial projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with a broad team to deliver projects from concept through completion.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and P.Eng. eligibility in Saskatchewan. You will engage with clients, manage deliverables, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• P.Eng. registration in Saskatchewan, or eligibility for registration.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in an engineering consulting environment is preferred.
• Experience designing and delivering mechanical systems for industrial projects.
• Knowledge of national and provincial codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience coordinating mechanical designs with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for junior staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for industrial projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and technical assessments to meet codes and safety requirements.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications, datasheets, and reports for accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into project designs.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction and verify compliance with design requirements.
• Develop practical, innovative engineering solutions balancing performance, safety, and cost.
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for new work.
• Manage engineering deliverables to meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
