Job summary

A leading consulting engineering firm in Quebec is seeking a Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects in the mining and energy sectors. The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical engineering, 10-15 years of industry experience, and a strong command of both English and French. As a member of our Mechanical Engineering team, you’ll lead mid-sized, multidisciplinary projects for studies and detailed engineering mandates in the mining and metals, heavy industry and energy sectors.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Lead work delivery for studies and detailed engineering mandates for various multidisciplinary industrial projects
• Establish budgets and schedules and ensure staff engagement
• Share project objectives with your team
• Oversee the quality of deliverables, costs, schedules as well as health and safety
• Check performance indicators and share results with clients monthly
• Mentor project leaders to achieve objectives
• Manage client expectations and ensure their satisfaction
• Present change notices to clients and define additional mandates with them

Certifications & Job Requirements

• University degree in mechanical or industrial engineering and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• From 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in the industry
• Experience leading mechanical projects in the industrial sector
• Available for short-term work assignments outside the office
• Relevant experience in project management and technical report writing
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
