OLIVER, BC - Hester Creek Estate Winery is one of the oldest Estate Vineyards in the Okanagan Valley boasting the award‑winning Tuscan inspired Terrafina Restaurant and The Villa at Hester Creek, a six‑room bed and breakfast style full‑service accommodation. It is also home to one of the most well‑appointed wine shops in the Okanagan Valley including an 80‑seat patio, 14‑seat demonstration kitchen and multiple event spaces.

Hester Creek Estate Winery is seeking a creative and strategic Senior Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing, communications and digital initiatives that elevate our brand and connect with wine lovers locally and across Canada. This senior role will lead a team responsible for building brand equity, driving business growth through direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) and wholesale channels and leading cross‑departmental integrations of messaging and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that reflect Hester Creek’s brand values and drive customer loyalty.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Plan and manage multi‑channel marketing campaigns—including digital, print, and event marketing—to promote our wines, experiences, and initiatives.
  • Content & Communications:
    • Oversee all winery communications, including newsletters, social media, website content, and promotional materials, ensuring consistency in tone and branding.
  • Digital Marketing:
    • Optimize Hester Creek’s online presence, including website, email marketing, and social media platforms, to grow audience engagement and online traffic.
  • Event Marketing:
    • Coordinate marketing support for winery events, seasonal promotions, and off‑site brand activations, ensuring a consistent and compelling customer experience.
  • Market Research & Insights:
    • Monitor industry trends, customer behavior, and BC’s regulatory landscape to inform marketing strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Support and guide the Wine Club and Marketing Coordinator, ensuring alignment with brand goals and effective campaign execution.
    • Works with a Director of Operations and Director of Sales to align marketing strategies with sales goals to boost brand exposure and increase revenue, leveraging data and market insights to inform both functions. Their collaboration involves shared responsibility for driving sales, growing the wine club, and achieving revenue targets through joint planning, execution of campaigns, and coordinated efforts in different sales channels.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the wine, hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Strong project and campaign management skills with ability to coach, mentor and inspire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional project management, budgeting and strategic planning abilities.
  • Deep understanding of luxury brand management.
  • Expertise in digital marketing and analytics reporting and customer acquisition.
  • Team player with a proactive, adaptable attitude and a collaborative spirit.
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms, content creation, and analytics tools.
  • Strong personal integrity and honesty.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Assets
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma.
  • Proficiency in basic graphic design.
  • The ability to quickly master e‑commerce tools, like industry‑standard WineDirect/Commerce 7/Qualo.
  • Passion for wine.
  • WSET II, customer service, hospitality and sales experience.
