Job summary

A leading insurance provider in Manitoba seeks a Senior Claims Adjuster to manage marine claims efficiently. The role involves determining liability, negotiating claims, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, a minimum of 7 years in commercial claims, and preferably hold a CIP accreditation. Bilingual abilities in English and French are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage moderate to high complexity of marine claims efficiently.
  • Review coverages, determine liability, and secure information.
  • Set activities, reserves, and authorise payments within scope of authority.
  • Coordinate investigations and evaluations through contact with various stakeholders.
  • Identify files with potential fraud and refer to SIU.
  • Negotiate complex settlement packages.
  • Develop strategies for timely resolution of complex claims.

Education

CIP or working towards completion
University or College degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years commercial property/casualty claims experience
5 to 7 years of Marine claim experience
