In this role, you will help clients modernize procurement through a combination of process redesign, operating model improvements, digital platform enablement, analytics, workflow automation, and emerging AI-enabled procurement capabilities.

You will work with and lead some of the highest-performing teams in the industry, deliver exceptional client service, and develop your skill set while collaborating with outstanding professionals. If you're looking for a dynamic environment that supports procurement strategy, cost optimization, source-to-pay performance improvement and broader business transformation, this could be the role for you.

Please note: This role requires eligibility to obtain and maintain Government of Canada security clearance due to the nature of client engagements.

This job posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager at EY, you will contribute to the Supply Chain & Operations team by leading engagements, supporting practice development, and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities include:

Engagement Management:

  • Develop procurement solutions and guide client strategy with expert-level knowledge of e-procurement and broader digital procurement technologies, with specific focus on SAP Ariba and related e-Procurement platforms (CLM, spend analytics, agentic AI platforms).
  • Own delivery of key workstreams or end‑to‑end project modules across digital procurement and source‑to‑pay transformation engagements
  • Manage client relationships for day‑to‑day delivery, issue resolution, and executive stakeholder alignment
  • Provide business process design and functional expertise across all phases of technology implementation, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and change management.
  • Support project leadership in business development and market growth initiatives.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, resource planning, and day‑to‑day client interactions.

People Development:

  • Foster the development of digital procurement capabilities within EY’s Supply Chain practice.
  • Create a positive team environment and provide coaching and support to junior staff.
  • Assist senior leadership with practice development activities such as recruiting and training.

Business Development:

  • Lead or support pursuit development, proposal content, and go‑to‑market activities
  • Contribute to practice growth by identifying opportunities with existing and prospective clients, supporting proposals and pursuits, and helping shape EY’s digital procurement offerings in the Canadian market.
  • Collaborate across EY service lines to identify and support business development opportunities.
  • Develop new solutions and innovative ways of working to advance EY’s innovation agenda.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Subject matter knowledge of digital procurement platforms – such as SAP Ariba, or any other procurement and spend management solutions (Ivalua, Coupa, Jaggaer, agentic AI platforms, etc.).
  • 5–7+ years of relevant consulting and/or industry experience in procurement, supply chain, or source-to-pay transformation, including experience leading workstreams or end‑to‑end delivery responsibilities in complex transformation environments.
  • Experience delivering procurement or source-to-pay transformation in public sector and regulated environments — including Federal Departments, Defence and Defence ecosystem, crown corporations, or broader government‑adjacent organizations — is strongly preferred.
  • Functional/technical proficiency in full lifecycle delivery of business transformation projects.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government of Canada security clearance (minimum Reliability Status; Secret clearance may be required depending on client engagement).

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • A high level of motivation, strong work ethic, and a self‑starting attitude.
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following: Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management, or Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • A willingness to travel to meet client and practice needs.

Ai responsibility:

  • Applies AI in the flow of work with strong professional judgement – Integrates AI into day‑to‑day delivery while validating outputs, challenging assumptions, and maintaining accountability for quality
  • Leads responsible and risk‑aware use of AI – Demonstrates sound judgement on data use, confidentiality, and ethical considerations and reinforces this standard practice; escalates risks appropriately and models good practices for teams
  • Drives structured and creative problem‑solving using AI – Uses AI to accelerate analysis, scenario generation, and insight development while maintaining clear linkage to business outcomes
