CN is seeking an experienced Enterprise/System Architect to lead architecture for initiatives within an Agile Release Train. You will translate business, functional, and security requirements into scalable solutions, collaborating with solution and principal architects, engineering, and product teams to modernize technology.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, governance, and stakeholder alignment, with hybrid work and cross-border travel within Canada and the US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information technology, enterprise architecture, or related architecture roles.
• Minimum 3 years defining solution or system architectures for medium to large initiatives.
• Experience with architecture artifacts, roadmaps, standards, and implementation guidance.
• Experience in Agile/SAFe, product delivery, or project delivery environments.
• Rail/Transportation or global industrial exposure is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Define system architectures and patterns for assigned initiatives and products.
• Refine epics and analyze features to support solution design.
• Develop architecture artifacts aligned with governance and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, data, and platform.
• Support PI planning, delivery planning, and issue resolution across teams.
