Job description

The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing, will establish and lead the company’s indirect procurement function, reporting into the Sr. Director, Supply Chain Strategy & Capabilities. This role is accountable for defining and executing strategic sourcing strategies that deliver sustainable cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and align with enterprise objectives. The Sr. Manager will oversee a small sourcing team (Manager + Sr. Analyst), while also directly managing select high-value categories.

The role requires balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, building relationships with senior stakeholders, and advancing procurement maturity across the organization.

Specifically, You Will:
  • Define the sourcing engagement model, annual pipeline, and savings targets in collaboration with Finance and business leaders.
  • Establish and maintain sourcing policies, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent, transparent, and compliant practices across the enterprise.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to build awareness and adoption of Strategic Sourcing COE by educating business stakeholders and promoting best practices across functions.
  • Personally lead sourcing for select strategic categories.
  • Develop and implement sourcing toolkits (e.g., RFx templates, supplier evaluation scorecards, savings tracking models) to standardize and accelerate sourcing activities.
  • Oversee development and execution of sourcing strategies, RFx processes, negotiations, and contract management across the team.
  • Ensure accurate savings reporting, benefits tracking, and sourcing KPIs are delivered to leadership.
Some of what you need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Math, Finance, or other STEM related field.
  • Professional certification (CPSM, SCMP, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint for preparing clear, executive‑level presentations.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, spend analysis, and savings tracking.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; able to partner effectively across functions.
  • Attention to detail with a strong commitment to data quality.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and pressure‑test recommendations.
  • 10+ years business experience, with at least 7 in procurement/sourcing.
  • 3‑5 years in a leadership or people management role.
  • Deep experience in indirect category management (IT, Marketing, Professional Services, Facilities, Supply Chain, or Transportation).
  • Track record of leading large sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with source‑to‑pay systems and procurement analytics.
