The Senior Manager Sales is responsible for leading a team of Home Financing Advisors (HFAs) Home Financing Associates (Associates) and Home Financing Officers (HFOs) towards achieving established sales targets and meeting the overall goals for the Home Financing Team. The incumbent works closely with HFAs to ensure that sales management activities disciplines and behaviours are instilled and sustained to meet business objectives of Home Financing; a large extent the focus is on sales and people management by providing value added feedback and coaching to HFAs for the purpose of assisting them in realizing their fullest potential to maximize mortgage sales and addition to the incumbent provides support to the Regional Sales Director (RSD).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Home Financing Advisors by focusing on sales management activities and principles; providing direction, guidance and support as required.
  • Foster ongoing relationships between the Bank and referral sources; conduct coaching sessions, quarterly sales meetings, skill-building sessions, and team touchbases; observe customer interactions and provide feedback to HFAs.
  • Develop individualized business plans for HFAs with the Regional Sales Directors to ensure required sales activities and disciplines are in place.
  • Mentor HFAs, Associates, and HFOs.
  • Lead implementation of initiatives to achieve business objectives in the District: define roles, develop marketing strategies, champion new approaches, motivate teams, resolve issues with partners, ensure compliance with privacy, AML/ATF, KYC, and conduct risk requirements; escalate issues with recommendations to the Regional Sales Director.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to the Regional Sales Director and partners: recommend new hires for HFAs, Associates, and HFOs; prepare probationary reviews.
  • Establish and monitor goals for direct reports: set high standards, negotiate goals, monitor results, and drive continuous improvement through action plans.
  • Maintain a market profile within the District with internal and external contacts; develop Home Financing Advisor skills and relationships; manage day-to-day administration.
Qualifications

  • University Degree or College diploma in related discipline
  • Expert residential mortgage product knowledge including policy and process
  • Expert knowledge of sales management disciplines
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending policies and procedures, real estate market trends, and competitor programs
  • Mortgage accreditation or designations (not required currently)
