Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES CUSTOMER
  • Oversee a team of professionals providing program and control related services and advice
  • Oversee the execution of annual specialized business processes and ongoing evaluation of programs, methods and processes to ensure that design aligns with the purpose, values and strategies of the business / function / organization
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the development and delivery of programs
  • Liaise with other SMEs, internally and externally, to understand and interpret applicable legislation/regulations relating to program administration
  • Coordinate department compliance with overall division guidelines as well as regulatory agencies
  • Identify key metrics / criteria for success and ensure reporting mechanisms are established and implemented
  • Provide operational leadership for the management of enterprise-wide programming, developing and implementing best-in- class solutions that are scalable in support of enterprise/ business goals
  • Responsible for ensuring effective communication to employees and/or leaders regarding policies, programs, processes and standards as well as improving work processes and finding efficiencies through new initiatives and
  • Support the team by enhancing knowledge and participate in knowledge transfer within team/business
  • Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance, as appropriate
SHAREHOLDER
  • Work closely with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD’s operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scale
  • Plan and execute on strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly
  • Execute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies
  • Manage overall budget, revenue and expenditures, meet business objectives while increasing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proactively identify key business opportunities, research and recommend enhancements / modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations and work closely with team to execute and implement
  • Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of delivery strategies, programs, and practices related to own area
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct
EMPLOYEE / TEAM
  • Contributes to the development of business segment and/or enterprise functional strategic priorities within their operational area or field of specialty
  • Develops annual and/or long-term plans for own area and influences plans well beyond area managed
  • Responsible for management of the overall team providing both leadership and guidance
  • Set targets and objectives for the team, and deliver results
  • Grow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered
  • Lead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and provide regular input into employee assessments and development plans
  • Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; track, monitor and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner
  • Manage employees in compliance with all human resources policies, procedures and guidelines of conduct
  • Share knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams
  • Support an environment where team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successes
  • Recruit for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce to achieve business objectives
  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally
BREADTH & DEPTH
  • Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Oversee and lead a highly complex, and diverse function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope
  • Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external / internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management / enterprise areas
  • Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.)
  • Set operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goals
  • Focus on longer-range planning for functional area
  • Generally reports to an Executive
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • 1. Prioritize and Manage the Backlog Maintain a prioritized backlog of AI use cases, features, models, and enhancements. Balance business value, technical feasibility, risk, cost, and time-to-market. Drive epic, feature, and story refinement to keep delivery teams focused on the highest-value outcomes.
  • 2. Lead Cross-Functional Delivery and Execution Align business, data, technology, risk, and AI teams around shared objectives. Remove delivery blockers and drive progress toward sprint and PI commitments. Ensure AI solutions move efficiently from concept to production.
  • 3. Be Accountable for Responsible AI, Risk, and Governance Ensure AI use cases meet governance, regulatory, privacy, security, and model risk requirements. Champion responsible AI practices, transparency, monitoring, and controls. Maintain accountability for AI lifecycle management and ongoing oversight.
  • 4. Drive Adoption, Value Realization, and Continuous Improvement Measure business impact and adoption of AI capabilities. Gather stakeholder and customer feedback to continuously improve outcomes. Optimize models, processes, and experiences to maximize realized value.
