MTU Maintenance Canada is the North American member of the MTU Maintenance network of companies, the largest independent provider of commercial engine maintenance services worldwide. We operate from Boundary Bay airport, where we repair and overhaul engines and accessories, as well as from Vancouver International airport, where we perform engine tests.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Power Plant Engineering to join our team in Delta, BC on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Manager is responsible for leading the power plant engineering function, overseeing engine maintenance programs, and ensuring technical standards, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives align with customer requirements and corporate objectives. This role is accountable for departmental leadership, engineering strategy, technical support, and budget performance while driving engine reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
More specifically, your main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
To qualify, you will need a Master of Engineering Degree with 5+ years of leadership experience and 5+ years of engineering experience within the aviation industry, or a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) with 5+ years of leadership experience and 8+ years of engineering experience within the aviation industry. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading continuous improvement and lean management initiatives will also be essential.
