A leading law firm in Canada is seeking a Senior Manager for Learning Initiatives and Special Projects. In this role, you will manage the Professional Development team, ensuring the delivery of numerous programs annually. The ideal candidate has a university degree, extensive project management experience, and proficiency in adult learning principles. This full-time position offers a hybrid work model.

Are you a learning leader looking for a new challenge The Senior Manager Learning Initiatives and Special Projects will manage the operations of the Firms Professional Development (PD) team within the Learning & Development Department with accountability for the national learning and development of legal and business professionals. This is a multi-faceted role responsible for delivering hundreds of programs and events annually.
Please note this is a contract opportunity with an expected end date of February 2027.
This position requires a university degree coupled with Adult Learning Certificate / Diploma or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years experience working as an adult educator or learning project or program manager in a lead role is strongly preferred. A Juris Doctor or LLB and experience as an associate in a large law firm will also be considered. An equivalent combination of education training and experience may be acceptable.
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
