About the team you are joining

Flight and Technical Operations team is a dynamic multinational and multi-disciplined team. We have a common aim to improve ground and flight safety. This involves close coordination with member airlines, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Fuel Suppliers, Standard & Regulatory Bodies, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from IATA Strategic Partners to ensuring fuel quality and operational safety. We also work closely with the IATA Commercial Fuel and Environment & Sustainability teams to deliver a bi-annual Aviation Energy Forum that is informative, educational and provides a platform for collaborating with industry partners.

What your day would be like

Reporting to the Head of Technical Fuel under the direction and guidance of the IFQP Steering Committee, you will be responsible to manage and deliver on the required task and objectives as set out by the Steering Committee of IFQP.

Your responsibilities
  • Analyze, develop, and implement improvements to the existing systems
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on fuel safety, quality assurance, and IFQP developments to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Assess inspection reports, provide findings, recommendations and meaningful feedback to inspectors
  • Generate data analysis to provide feedback to the teams, and analyze industry developments to maintain our standard as up to date as possible
Shared responsibility with the Head of Technical Fuel
  • Act as a representative in international meetings, working groups, and regulatory discussions
  • Work closely with all teams, regulatory bodies, and industry partners
  • Represent the organization in international meetings
We would love to hear from you
  • You are a highly skilled Fuel Safety and Quality Professional
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in fuel quality and safety management. Experience working with aviation, fuel programs or IFQP is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of fuel matters, quality control measures, regulatory frameworks, and international fuel standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, ICAO, IATA)
  • Ability to evaluate complex reports, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Excellent ability to create and deliver high-quality presentations and reports to diverse audiences
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to enhance system efficiency and compliance
  • Ability to work as an external consultant managing multiple tasks and successfully engaging with a diversity of stakeholders
  • Excellent command of English language, both oral and written; any other languages would be an asset.
