Nutrition International’s Corporate Services (CS) unit is a dedicated team of Finance and Administrative experts with extensive global experience. The unit leads on providing global Accounting, Finance, Budget, and Compliance, Contracting and Procurement, Facilities management, and Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT). Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Sr. Manager, Global Risk & Assurance to be based in Ottawa, Canada, working hybrid 2 days/week in‑office.
About you
You are someone with a minimum of 7-8 years of compliance, external and internal audit or risk management experience. You have an accounting designation or other technical/professional designation (e.g., CPA/CIA/ CRM or equivalent. You have working knowledge and experience with Canadian auditing standards for external and internal audits, or a combination of either is preferred.
You are experienced in developing policies, procedures, and documentation and are comfortable with leading changes in a multi‑layered organization and driving process and workflow improvements. You are someone highly skilled in risk management, process, expenditure, and control testing and have the ability to supervise staff, providing the necessary direction, delegation and empowerment to achieve coordination and efficiency in meeting objectives.
Fluency in English is required. French will be considered an asset.
About the role
In this role you will:
Initially this position will supervise matrixed team members seconded to the function and until the function is resourced with dedicated personnel in Asia, Africa and Canada (HQ) regions.
Frequent International Travels (up to 30%) to NI international offices in Africa and Asia is expected (COVID‑19 recommendations from public health authorities and NI’s safety and security policies related to travel will be followed)
