Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. Canada seeks a Manager of Financial Accounting to lead a high-performing team accountable for accurate financial accounting processes, month-end close, and continuous improvement.

This role partners with Global Accounting and senior leadership to drive enterprise-wide practices and impactful initiatives. We value a collaborative leader who mentors associates, manages internal controls, and supports business decision-making while navigating a highly visible role within TJX

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive financial accounting experience including four+ years of people leadership.
• CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and the ability to partner with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Financial Accounting department strategy, internal controls, and reporting improvements.
• Drive accounting and reporting initiatives with cross-functional partners.
• Oversee month-end close for divisional statements and ensure SOX controls.
• Provide guidance to business partners and finance teams.
• Coach and develop Associates and build a promotable talent pipeline.
• Establish partnerships with business areas to ensure open communication and risk mitigation.
