Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is seeking a Senior Manager, Demand Side Strategy to guide Ontario’s energy future and lead a high‑performing DSM team. You will drive strategic initiatives across LDCs and partners, influencing policy and market transformation.

This role emphasizes leadership, data analytics, stakeholder collaboration, and executive‑level advisory across North America, focusing on delivering reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity for homes and businesses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in energy and/or energy conservation, marketing, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), MBA, Master degree in engineering or certifications such as CMVP/CEM are assets.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of Ontario's electricity system and DSM programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2–3 direct supervisors and 10–15 indirect staff to deliver DSM outcomes.
• Develop and execute DSM strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with LDCs and channel partners to improve program participation
• Provide thought leadership on DSM trends and policy implications
• Manage stakeholder sessions and cross‑functional working groups
• Translate market and policy considerations into actionable recommendations
