Senior Manager, Credit Risk – Agriculture

Your job
  • Analyze, authorize, or recommend agricultural and agribusiness credit files in line with risk appetite and policy
  • Collaborate with business lines to deliver timely responses on financing requests
  • Support account managers as an advisor and coach in structuring credit
  • Monitor loan portfolios and proactively recommend improvements
  • Identify and implement quality control strategies to strengthen portfolio integrity
  • Participate in credit committees and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with policies and act as a change agent to improve tools and processes
Your team

The Credit Risk Sector includes 50 professionals specialized in agriculture, real estate, and commercial banking. You’ll report to the National Senior Director, credit risk – agriculture and be part of a national team committed to supporting agri‑finance partners across Canada.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Agronomy, Agroeconomics, or Business, with 7–10 years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in agricultural finance and complex agribusiness lending
  • Professional Agrologist designation is an asset
  • Independent credit decision‑making under pressure
  • Proven leadership in credit strategy and change management
  • Experience in oversight and risk monitoring
  • Knowledge of business banking products
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and effective across diverse teams and stakeholders
Mandatory languages
  • English (spoken and written)
  • French is considered an asset
