What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Oversee transfer pricing function, ensuring alignment with the employer’s business model
  • Manage R&D credits and incentives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline claims processes
  • Develop and maintain a robust cash tax forecasting model for U.S. and Canadian tax liabilities
  • Manage tax compliance and reporting for transfer pricing, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholders to analyze tax exposure and ensure compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • CPA, CA, or other relevant professional designation preferred
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant tax experience, with recent experience leading tax operations
  • Proven experience in transfer pricing, especially around Cost Sharing Agreements (CSA) and cost-plus methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian SR&ED credits and U.S. Section 174 R&D tax regulations
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Prior experience within an online marketplace or eCommerce environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus
  • Demonstrated success in building and improving processes
