The Senior Manager leads and oversees the change management activities for GHR initiatives globally ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversees the change management strategy with key members of the team for the project assigned in alignment with the GHR Change Management framework, focused on embedding the desired behaviours across applicable areas of the organization.
  • Lead the design of change activations, communications and training with key internal partners to deliver the target employee experience in alignment with the strategy.
  • Partner with the Experience Design team and other stakeholders to deliver the necessary user testing required in advance of implementing changes to incorporate feedback to achieve target experience.
  • Lead a change management team to deliver all change tactics including training, communications, and applicable business activities. Manages the change management project plan and determines requirements to incorporate into the broader integrated project plan.
  • Develop and delivers the change sustainment plan with Business leads to ensure a smooth transition to steady state once the project is completed.
  • Partner with the Experience Design team and other stakeholders to facilitate engagements with employees to ensure changes are resonating well and develops action plans accordingly.
  • Other ad hoc project work as required from time to time.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.
Qualifications
  • MBA, or other advanced Business designation; experience with behavioural science and methodologies, an asset
  • Change management certification and 5+ years change management experience
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of change methodologies and tools
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale, global change management programs
  • Keen sense of storytelling with superior writing and editing skills; able to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision
  • Change leader who can act as a strategic advisor to HR teams and provide insights on change management activities
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to manage key partner relationships across many diverse groups including Senior Executives
  • Strong organizational, facilitation and presentation skills including ability to create and deliver presentations with great clarity to diverse audiences
  • Innovative thinker, capable of moving forward through complex situations; self-reliant, proactive approach to work
  • Results oriented, highly motivated with a keen ability to influence others, strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal/written) is preferred
