What is the opportunity?

As part of the AML Risk Assessment team, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a financial services enterprise AML/ATF Risk and Control Assessment processes. These roles are critical to identifying and assessing inherent risks, evaluating control effectiveness, and delivering high-quality risk assessment products that support regulatory compliance and inform business decisions.

Risk Methodology & Assessment Lead
What will you do?
  • Design and execute enterprise-wide assessments of financial crimes risks and controls across banking platforms, business units, and jurisdictions
  • Stay current on regulatory and industry developments to update methodology and supporting documentation (procedures, training, communication plans)
  • Develop capabilities for quantitative and qualitative assessment of inherent risks, control effectiveness, and residual risk
  • Create and maintain training materials for AML / ATF Risk Assessment and Control Self Assessments
  • Leverage AML expertise to establish and challenge risk ratings
  • Perform expert analysis to identify concentrations of risk and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Deliver high-quality risk assessment products to support compliance and business decisions
Must Haves
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in risk management and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of AML / ATF laws and control environments
  • Familiarity with banking products and services
  • Strong data literacy and ability to interpret and challenge quantitative outcomes
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage cross-functional partnerships and lead teams
  • Experience with risk documentation, control self-assessments, and regulatory reporting
