Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Test Analyst with mainframe testing expertise to lead testing for a banking client in a hybrid Toronto role. You will design and execute tests for web UI and batch mainframe processes, using COBOL, JCL, and DB2, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality.

Candidate should have 5+ years in mainframe testing, strong knowledge of STLC, AGILE, and experience with JIRA, SVN, GIT, Jenkins, HP-ALM.

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years of experience in mainframe testing.
Strong experience in mainframe environments (z/OS, JCL, REXX, etc.).
Must have worked on COBOL, JCL, DB2 and Batch Job execution.
Host Screen Navigation (Must have).
TSYS (Must have).
Testing Concepts (STLC Life Cycle) (Must have).
Agile Concepts (Scrum/Scaled Agile) (Must have).
Proficient in bug tracking and test management tool-sets (JIRA, SVN, GIT, Jenkins, HP-ALM).
Knowledge of automation testing tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Perform testing of mainframe applications.
Develop and maintain test cases and test data, using automated testing tools where appropriate.
Test both web UI and batch mainframe backend testing.
Develop and maintain batch and online applications using mainframe tech COBOL, JCL, DB2.
Implement functional, integration, regression and performance testing.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts and project managers on testing objectives.
