Job description

I am hiring a Senior M365 Specialist on behalf of a renowned financial institution. They support the state, municipalities, and businesses by providing financing, advisory services, and development programs. The company focuses on promoting economic, structural, and social development, with areas such as start-ups, innovation, housing, infrastructure, and sustainability. As a public law institution, it operates responsibly, leveraging partnerships and financial expertise to strengthen the region's competitiveness and long‑term prosperity while aligning with state policy objectives.

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining Microsoft M365 cloud services with a focus on security and compliance
  • Serving as the main contact for M365 topics and supporting departments with user inquiries
  • Managing integrations between M365 and related services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, EntraID, Teams)
  • Leading and contributing to projects using both agile and traditional methods
  • Supporting and improving core infrastructure services (Active Directory, DFS, Exchange, VDI, MFA, and other Microsoft Cloud solutions)

This role is hybrid up to 50% of the time in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Essential:
  • Degree or vocational training in IT with several years of relevant experience, or equivalent certifications
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft M365, including EntraID, Intune, Azure, Teams, and related integrations
  • Several years of experience working in IT Infrastructure – preferably for a medium to large institution
  • Solid knowledge of security standards (e.g. BSI IT Grundschutz) and hands‑on skills with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with monitoring and analytics tools, and core infrastructures (Active Directory, IAM etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal German C1 minimum
Desirable:
  • Experience with ITIL-based IT operations
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft technologies and interest in new Azure cloud trends
