Job summary

Verve Senior Living in Canada is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to maintain a sparkling, safe residence for seniors. You’ll follow infection control protocols and work under the Environmental Services Manager to keep resident suites and common areas clean.

The role requires Grade 12, 2 years’ experience preferred, strong English communication, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while handling cleaning chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education required.
• 2 years’ housekeeping experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal English communication.
• Attention to detail essential to meet cleaning standards.
• Dependable, team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling disinfectants and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily and weekly cleaning, laundry, and vacuuming of resident suites as required.
• Cleans all common areas according to established policies and schedules.
• Replenishes supplies as required.
• Performs additional cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
• Picks up and disposes of garbage daily.
• Maintains housekeeping rooms, closets, equipment and carts in sanitary condition.
• Provides general assistance to residents and reports maintenance concerns.
• Completes health and safety audits as assigned.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and supervisory staff.
