Qualifications

• Journeyperson plumber certification or equivalent senior-level plumbing experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read drawings, follow specifications, and complete accurate work.
• Valid driver’s licence may be required depending on the role.
• Safety tickets, gas certification, backflow certification, or additional trade qualifications are considered assets.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, valves, drains, water lines, and related equipment.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and complete safe, accurate repairs.
• Perform rough-in, finishing, service, maintenance, retrofit, and installation plumbing work.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, service notes, and work orders.
• Support commercial, residential, institutional, or light industrial projects depending on hiring needs.
• Inspect work areas, identify plumbing issues, and recommend practical solutions.
• Follow applicable plumbing codes, safety procedures, site rules, and permit requirements.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, inspectors, and other trades.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and job documentation.
• Support apprentices, helpers, or junior workers when required.
