Job summary

Source Code in Toronto seeks a Sr. Software Developer for a 1-year contract, onsite at 222 Jarvis St. You will translate requirements into scalable, tested full-stack apps using Java with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, React or Angular, and PostgreSQL.

You will design, build and test data-driven backend services and RESTful APIs, lead technical discussions, and ensure security, performance and accessibility standards. Strong communication and Agile experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in developing n-tier Enterprise applications.
• Expertise in application design, latest design patterns, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in JPA or Hibernate, and Spring Boot Framework.
• Proficient in database design and SQL development, with PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, Azure Cosmos DB.
• JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements from business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
• Develop detailed programming specifications, write/generate code, and conduct unit tests.
• Resolve and troubleshoot problems during implementation, migrations, and operation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure full-stack applications.
• Design and implement modern frontend components with React.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Spring Boot.
