Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to design and implement core Java backends, build large-scale distributed systems, and apply Agentic AI tools in production environments.

You will work in an Agile, DevOps-minded team, leveraging Linux/Unix environments, various databases, and strong CS fundamentals to deliver robust, scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale, production-grade Java backends.
• Experience designing distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
• Experience with relational and document-oriented databases.
• Experience with Agentic AI development and tools.
• Familiar with Agile software development and DevOps.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Strong expertise in Core Java development, with a proven track record of building production-grade backend systems
• Experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting
• Experience with relational and document-oriented databases
• Typically 5+ years of experience building large-scale, production-grade systems, with demonstrated depth in Java-based backend development and distributed system design
• Experience with Agentic AI development and tools
• Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication skills
