Job summary

You will apply COBOL, JCL, DB2 and IMS skills in a high‑volume production environment, contribute to architecture and coding standards, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years development and End to End design experience in Mainframe Technologies.
• 7+ Years experience in JCL, COBOL, DB2, IMS
• Hands- on experience with development tools and frameworks such as File-Aid, CA7, Endeavor and ICE tools.
• 3+ years production support experience in batch environment
• Experience with service management tools like Service Now, Confluence, JIRA

Responsibilities

• Application design and development activities for mainframe systems.
• Create and maintain quality code; perform testing and post-production support.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, analysts, and developers.

Hands-on experience with Mainframe applications.* Create and maintain quality code, ensure defect free programming consistent with standards; provide code maintenance and support during testing cycles and post-production deployment and participate in reviewing peer coding* Advanced knowledge of technology, tools, various programming languages, processes, and procedures required for mainframe development.* A strong technology background as Mainframe COBOL developer with exceptional experience building large scale enterprise solutions.* Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs.* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and security teams, to deliver solutions.* Create and maintain documentation, to guide teams in implementing and maintaining systems.* Database knowledge and hands on experience accessing large RDBMS.* Ensure solutions comply with regulatory and TD security and control standards.* Develop technical deliverables for quality throughout detailed design and development phase, identify gaps or redesign as needed.* Troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
