Job summary

IS2 in Surrey, BC is seeking a Senior IT Consultant to secure and manage critical IT infrastructure across multiple sites. The role is hands-on, with a focus on network, virtualization, backups, and Microsoft environments.

You will lead cybersecurity initiatives, manage Fortinet devices, VMware, Veeam, and PowerShell automation, provide after-hours support, and travel to branches across Western Canada as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT administration experience preferred in multi-site environment.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, switches, and VPNs is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Veeam, Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise networks.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, incident response, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with RMM tools, ticketing systems, and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Manage Fortinet firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and network infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Manage VMware, Veeam, NAS, and backup systems.

• Monitor systems using RMM and ticketing platforms.

• Support remote branches, end users, and junior IT staff.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology projects.
• Troubleshoot critical issues and maintain system security, reliability, and documentation.

What You’ll Do
