Job summary

MDA Space is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead and/or support audits across finance, IT and operations. The role reports to Internal Audit management and requires adherence to policy, ethics and security standards.

The successful candidate will perform audits, assess risks, and develop clear recommendations while maintaining independence and professional judgment. Security clearance and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of financial, operational, or compliance internal-audit experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and audit techniques.
• Familiarity with IPPF and Code of Ethics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs audit projects and consulting engagements within policy and timeframes.
• Creates planning documentation like budgets, scoping assessments, and audit programs.
• Executes audit procedures including interviews, issue identification, evidence review, and documentation.
• Prepares draft audits and reports with actionable recommendations.
• Communicates results to management through reports and presentations.
• Assists with risk-based audit plans and follow-ups on open issues.
• Builds productive relationships across the company and department.
• Supports external audit and other related work as assigned.
