Senior Integration Principal to support large acquisition with client in the Insurance Industry

Work Model: Toronto is preferred. Open to Waterloo office if strong candidate (Mon-Thurs onsite, Friday from home)

Overview:

We’re seeking a Senior Integration Principal to lead post-merger integration initiatives within a complex, cross-functional environment. This role will support enterprise-level integration following a recent acquisition, ensuring operational alignment and synergy realization across multiple business units.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of post-merger integration initiatives across various business lines and corporate functions.
  • Develop and manage integration roadmaps, tracking milestones and deliverables.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between operations, finance, IT, HR, and strategy teams.
  • Identify and resolve integration issues, risks, and dependencies.
  • Track, report, and drive synergy realization and performance metrics.
  • Support change management and communication activities to align teams and promote cultural integration.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Must-Haves:
  • 10+ years of experience in post-merger integration or corporate transformation, ideally within financial services or management consulting.
  • Proven track record leading large, complex integration programs end-to-end.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project or Smartsheet).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Nice-to-Haves / Plusses:
  • Experience within the insurance industry or other regulated financial sectors.
  • Familiarity with Visio or other process mapping tools.
  • Strong change management or organizational effectiveness background.
