A global leader in simulation and training is seeking an Insurance Specialist in Montreal to manage insurance programs and operational risks effectively. The ideal candidate has 7 to 10 years in the insurance industry, holds relevant certifications, and is bilingual in French and English. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and analyzing key risk exposures.
  • Manage insurance renewal processes from data collection to proposals.
  • Manage insured claims from time of reporting until closing the file.
  • Support negotiation of contracts related to insurance and liability clauses.
  • Create educational material for onboarding new employees.

The Insurance Specialist willassist in the management of corporation’s insurance programs and monitoring of corporation’s operational risks for which the corporation has selected to transfer risk to insurers. Candidate must have knowledge and experience with insurance as well as contractual risk transfer mechanisms.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing key risk exposures and help quantify risks
  • Manage insurance renewal processes, from data collection to preparation of proposals (underwriting submission) to insurers
  • Manage insured claims from time of reporting until closing of the file
  • Provide support to the legal and purchasing groups in the negotiation of contracts, specifically in reviewing insurance, indemnity and limitation of liability clauses
  • Support internal stakeholders with questions relating to insurance, and advise them as to CAE’s approach in managing risks
  • Assist other risk control departments in creating crisis management standards and crisis recovery standards
  • Create educational material for on-boarding of new employees. When required, deliver training sessions to new employees and/or other interested internal stakeholders
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in insurance industry or similar position
  • Certificate from Insurance institute of Canada (CIP) and/or Certificate in Risk Management (CRM)
  • Damage Insurance Broker’s license will be considered an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree will be considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) spoken and written
  • Advanced knowledge of the Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Autonomous, flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of aviation industry will be considered as an asset
