Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
• Registered as a P.Eng. or eligible for registration with APEGA
• 5+ years of instrumentation experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry
• Strong experience with P&IDs, instrument datasheets, and instrument indexes
• Experience with control systems, measurement instrumentation, and industrial processes
• EPCM and fabrication experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review instrument datasheets, instrument indexes, P&IDs, cause & effect diagrams, and shutdown keys
• Size and select instrumentation, control valves, and measurement devices
• Support PLC, HMI, RTU, DCS, and SCADA-based projects
• Review vendor documentation and perform technical bid evaluations
• Provide technical guidance during design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning
• Lead instrumentation deliverables, project schedules, and junior team members
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications

Senior Instrumentation Engineer Location: Calgary, AB

We are seeking a Sr. Instrumentation Engineer to support the design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems for oil & gas and industrial facilities.
