Due to continued growth, GHD is currently seeking a positive and energetic Senior Hydrogeologist capable of team leadership, developing/maintaining client relationships, and managing complex interdisciplinary projects to support and grow our business in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This is an excellent opportunity to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and to take an active role in the growth of our business through business/client development, technical advisory, and guiding and mentoring project teams. You will work with an outstanding group of geoscientists and engineers supporting a diverse range of projects in hydrogeology, land development, construction dewatering, and contaminant site assessments. We offer a professional working environment and culture and believe that work/life integration is essential to the success and happiness of our people. We also offer competitive salary packages based on qualifications, skills and experience. As part of a truly global team, working on complex and rewarding projects, you'll be at the forefront of driving change. See what the power of commitment can do for you.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
  • Insights and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate completion of technical reports and deliverables. This includes interpretation and compilation of geological and hydrogeological data, as well as coordination of stratigraphic log compilation, data tables, and supporting figures. Contribute to the preparation of environmental investigation summary reports, construction dewatering assessments, annual monitoring reports, and regulatory permitting documentation.
  • Solutions Analysis: Analyze complex environmental challenges by applying technical knowledge and assessment tools. • Geoscientific Studies and Interpretations: Coordinate the collection, analysis, and interpretation of field and laboratory data to support geological, hydrogeological, and geotechnical investigations. Support subsurface characterization and investigation planning by applying advanced interpretation methods.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow GHD's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of yourself and others in the workplace.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop your own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.
  • Community of Practice Management: Participate actively in a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to build own expertise.
  • Exploration Plan Development: Design and implementing complex exploration plans.
  • Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Preparation: Gather information and resources, and draft and complete requests for bid solicitation requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for tender (RFT) on the requester side.
  • Project Management: Deliver small- or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan. Coordinate technical staff, subcontractors and resources throughout the project life cycle, and contribute to contract administration, invoicing and budget tracking as required.
  • Team Leadership: Lead scientific teams and support less-experienced colleagues by providing technical guidance, coaching and mentoring in the delivery of hydrogeology projects.
