Job description

As the Health & Safety Senior Advisor you will play a critical role in ensuring the application of professional Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) practices at a project or work site. You’ll provide expert advice and guidance to both operations teams and clients while leading and mentoring HS&E personnel. This role requires an experienced safety professional with strong judgment, excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on the implementation of Ledcors Health and Safety Management System throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable regulatory and jurisdictional health and safety requirements.
  • Support the development and completion of safe work procedures, hazard assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with both leading and lagging safety indicators including oversight of subcontractors and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Deliver HS&E orientations for employees and subcontractors during onboarding.
  • Assist in the coordination and facilitation of toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Develop and improve Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practices using existing materials and field input.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of health and safety experience in industrial construction or a related industry.
  • Certification in CSO, NCSO or CRSP required.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs policies and regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong proofreading and editing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure adherence to HS&E practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate existing practices and apply sound judgment.
Work Conditions
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements.
Compensation

79600 - $109450 annually

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
