Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior HR Advisory Specialist (contract) to provide expert consultation and guidance on Associate Relations and Labour Relations across assigned Distribution Centres and shifts, ensuring consistent application of TJX Canada's policies and practices. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping HR priorities by supporting projects, program development, process improvements, and technology upgrades. You'll have the opportunity to influence scalable, sustainable solutions that strengthen our operating model and prepare us for future growth. What You'll Do:
  • Provides consultation and guidance to business leaders through influence and insight on Associate Relations and Labour Relations issues by demonstrating an understanding of the interpersonal and business impacts of situations, leveraging Advisory Service processes and resource tools, as well as Company policies, procedures, and culture to guide outcomes; taking appropriate partnership and guidance with/from Advisory Management team of on cases with increased complexity
  • Supports investigations (violence, harassment, Open Door etc.); documenting findings, creating case summaries for meetings, and developing recommendations for appropriate resolution; reviews and supports complex cases in collaboration with HR Advisory Manager
  • Prepares for and participates in joint meetings between the union and management, including grievance meetings and negotiations; respond to queries, complaints, and concerns from union representatives and union leaders
  • Prepares and manages detailed project management plans within Advisory by collaborating with project lead on determining the prioritization and plans for the work activities and adapts for changing condition and communicates changes and progress to the team
  • Accountable for creating dashboards, developing reports, and analyzing trends to provide business insights on the work being done within Advisory leveraging Service Now and other platforms. Identifies and interprets metrics applying experience and knowledge of the business to present meaningful data for use in presentations
About You:
  • Minimum five (5) years progressive HR or Associate Relations/Labour Relations experience, preferably within retail and/or distribution/warehouse environment (i.e. Distribution Centre)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Associate and Labour Relations including application and administration of collective agreements and relevant employment related legislation and regulations; ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor, including strong interviewing, negotiating, listening, and information gathering skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise strategies to support the vision of the department
