Job summary

WSP is seeking a Design Engineer based in Fredericton to contribute to highway and infrastructure design projects that strengthen communities and enable sustainable growth.

You will lead design work, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver detailed packages while supporting project management activities, client communications, and business development. A Civil Engineering degree with 8–10 years of experience and licensure progression is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with highway/infrastructure design experience.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering design packages.
• Experience with reports, cost estimates, and contract documents for transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead highway design, grading, drainage, alignments, and related civil works.
• Deliver detailed design packages including drawings and tender documents.
• Collaborate with planning, structures, geotechnical, and environmental teams to integrate design solutions.
• Coordinate scheduling, tasks, and client communications on projects.
• Support budgeting, risk tracking, resourcing, and quality assurance.
• Assist in business development through proposals and client meetings.
