Job summary

Fortinet in Canada is seeking a senior Product Quality control specialist to oversee hardware and mechanical integrity across Fortinet's product portfolio, including FortiExtender, FortiSwitch, FortiFone and FortiCamera. You will work directly with JDM/ODM partners to intercept design vulnerabilities, review mass production workflows, and ensure reliability from concept through mass production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hardware or mechanical design experience across full product lifecycle.
• Experience with high-reliability industrial design for networking devices is highly desirable.
• Bachelor degree in Mechatronics, EE or ME; Master preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design & quality review of schematics and PCB layouts with ODM/JDM partners.
• Review mechanical housing designs and optimize reliability.
• Scrutinize BOMs for critical components and production lifecycles.
• Define hardware and mechanical test schemes and audit reports.
• Plan production lines and support regulatory certification processes.
• Maintain thorough design documentation across NPI stages.
